A List Of Black Women In Venture Capital

Being a woman entrepreneur seeking venture funding can be a up-hill battle; That hill is especially steep for women of color. Venture capitalists invested $58.2 billion in companies with all-male founders in 2016. Meanwhile, women received just $1.46 billion in VC money last year, according to data from M&A, private equity, and venture capital database PitchBook.

Venture Capital is an area where representation is important for Entrepreneurs of Color. We previously highlighted a list of Black Men In Venture Capital, now, thanks to Sydney Thomas of Precursor VC, we have a list of Black Women in Venture Capital.
